Part II - Egypt

Egypt

Egypt is a marvelous vacation spot with a fascinating history and beautiful scenery. There is not a place more worthy to be called the heart of northern Africa. Its lively culture and exceptional building structure is unbelievable! Egypt is absolutely stunning.

The capital of Egypt is Cairo. Its 39,000 square miles are home to 84 million people. It is one of the most populous countries in Africa and the 15th most populated country in the entire world. The Sahara desert is a large part of the terrain in Egypt and is naturally inhabited.

One of the most well-known rivers in the world, the Nile River, runs straight through this country. The Nile River is a majestic river that flows through the heart of this country and glistens like a billion diamonds clustered into one smooth stream. It provides water for the many people of Egypt and has proven to be a vital resource in not only the food industry but with tourism, as well. It is regarded to be the longest river in the entire world. It is a simply magnificent sight to see!

The Cairo Derby, otherwise known as the Egyptian Derby, is a football match said to be one of the toughest derbies in the world. The match is held in the Greater Cairo, located in Egypt, and it is broadcasted to hundreds of Arab stations. The 1st and 2nd African clubs compete with each other and have competed since their creation. The match is definitely on my must see bucketlist!

Egypt is famous for their strange delicacies and authentic Arab culture. All around the country you can see beautiful women dancing, children playing, husbands fishing, and vendors on every corner, trying to get you to buy their delicious fast food. The people are friendly and their customs are unique. If you ever meet an Egyptian person, I guarantee they’ll never bore you.

I chose this place because it seemed rather interesting and I did a project on their government for Civics, so I thought it’d be cool to learn a further knowledge on this beautiful land. I would definitely visit this country! Its history is astonishing and the hot spots are gorgeous tokens.

All in all, I've learned some pretty cool things. A significant thing that I’ve learned is that a derby is a football match. I’ve gathered facts and trivia that will last a lifetime and definitely help me on my trip to Egypt! J
